ANICA and APA are looking for a General Manager for the  2022 edition of MIA International Audiovisual Market. The Director will be responsible for planning and supervising the activities of the eighth edition of MIA and will ensure that the plans approved by the client Temporary Grouping of Companies (“RTI”) are completed on time and within budget.

Main responsibilities:

– Propose a schedule, draw up and manage a schedule and budget based on agreed projects and plans from the various editorial departments
– Developing and managing project schedules and operational plans
– Providing stakeholders with updates consistent with decisions made
– Coordinating with the contracting RTI and representatives of stakeholders and institutions
– Coordinate the launch of calls for applications, selection procedures, advertisements for selections
– Co-ordinate the executive production of the event with consequent verification of the relative needs, co-ordination of purchases and supplies, partnerships and contracts, definition and respect of deadlines
– Coordinating communication activities, PR, digital content, advertising (e.g. opening accreditation, media plan, etc.).

Experience required:
– knowledge of the audiovisual industry, related festivals and international markets
– managing projects, human and financial resources
– organisation and/or coordination of events, prevention and resolution of conflicting needs, including in emergency situations
– excellent interpersonal skills and strong diplomatic skills
– perfect knowledge of the English language

Active experience in the audiovisual sector would be an advantage.

The Heads of the Associations will evaluate the applications received and send feedback to those concerned, even if the answer is negative.
