The Doc Co-Production Pitching Forum 2024 will present 14 projects from 13 countries: Belgium, China, Denmark, Germany, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, USA.

The Pitching Forum 2024 selection offers a 360-degree view of reality. BLACK CARBON – NATIVE SCIENCE tells the story of an Inuit scientist’s work and discoveries about microplastics in the Greenland ice and other oceans. INFERNO CLIMATE CRISIS IN THE MEDITERRANEAN (working title) explores the climate crisis in the Mediterranean, with the ancient Mare Nostrum reaching temperatures of 30 degrees. There is also a reference to the ITALIAN CHERNOBYL, SEVESO, which in the 1970s affected the lives of thousands of people in Northern Italy, with still mysterious consequences. One of the most unknown biggest civilian massacres of the WWII is told in ARANDORA STAR, 2ND JULY 1940.
Social changes are at the core of THE SIEGE OF PARADISE, which deals with the issue of overtourism, and SMALL TOWN AMERICA, which recounts nearly a century of transformations in a rural American community.
The theme of family is explored in HOMESICK, which tells the story of adoption through the eyes of an adoptee, and in CRUSADE AND CROSS, which follows the adventures of two eccentric brothers, a priest and a bumbling terrorist. Truth and forgery, creations and fakes are ideally reflected in THE NAKED REALITY a biopic about Ruggero Deodato, a director of extreme and controversial films, in the series THE DISCREET CHARM OF FORGERY, and in REBORN – PERFECT LOVE, which explores the phenomenon of realistic baby dolls treated as children.
Finally, there is space for PAPER PORN and the unique story of a couple who publish erotic magazines, as well as the music of TIME TO SAY GOODBYE, a hugely successful Italian song, and the spread of Western pop music in China with TRASH KIDS, thanks to defective CDs that Chinese youths turned into their passions.The adventures of Pinocchio, an Italian literary character loved all over the world, are an example of universal storytelling in the one-off TV PINOCCHIO, THE CHILD OF THE WORLD.
