MIA honors excellence in the audiovisual industry through the MIA Development Awards, celebrating outstanding projects across the competitive categories of the Co-Production Market.
These awards reaffirm MIA’s commitment to supporting creativity, talent, and the international development of high-quality audiovisual content.
Here is the list of this year’s winners:
MIA Development Award for Outstanding Animation Series Project
Sophie, If You Are There Give Us a Sign! (Italy, Belgium, Spain), directed by Dario Piana and co-produced by Brand-Cross, 20 Pictures to Midnight and Digitoonz Entertainment.

MIA Development Award for Outstanding Documentary Project

Special Mention: Bleaching Nemo, directed by Jason Brooks and produced by Pierangelo Pirak for Pomona Pictures (Italy, United Kingdom, United States).
Jury: Laurent Filliung, Commissioning Editor, ARTE G.E.I.E. (France); Caroline Haidacher, Commissioning Editor, ORF (Austria); and Hiroshi Yokota, Director and Producer, NHK ENTERPRISES (Japan).
MIA Development Award for Outstanding Drama Project
Day Traitors (Denmark), produced by Deborah Bayer Marlow and Michael Bille Frandsen (Nordisk Film Production), and written by Molly Stensgaard, Bo Hr. Hansen and Milad Alami.
