European Investment Hub

Among the new features of this edition, for two days MIA becomes a platform for dialogue and in-depth discussion devoted to European and international financial instruments supporting the audiovisual industry through the European Investment Hub (EIH).

The project was created to facilitate access to structured financial solutions, which are increasingly central to the development, consolidation and competitiveness of creative enterprises. MIA aims to offer European and international professionals a clear, practical overview of the instruments available and how to access them.

The EIH programme focuses on analysing and examining a broad range of financial instruments, including: co-production funds (regional, European and international, as well as EU cooperation funds); equity funds dedicated to the audiovisual sector and the cultural and creative industries; guarantee funds and risk-mitigation mechanisms, including those developed in synergy with European and national institutions; completion bonds and insurance instruments supporting the completion of works; public-private co-investment models and regional instruments supporting production; and involves brands as new financial partners.

Activities include themed round tables and informal networking sessions designed to encourage direct dialogue among professionals, investors and institutions through a practical approach to understanding financial mechanisms and intervention strategies.

The Deep-Dive Roundtables: European Co-Production Funds take place on Monday, October 19th, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Hotel Sina Bernini Bristol, in rooms Apollo & Dafne, Enea, and David.

A series of simultaneous thematic roundtables, each hosted by a European co-production fund or regional film fund, will take place in parallel. Participation is by prior registration and reserved for accredited producers. The format is designed to facilitate direct dialogue between producers and funding bodies.

Each table will offer participants the opportunity to present their companies and projects, gain first-hand information on the fund’s eligibility criteria, financing priorities and international co-production strategies, and receive practical guidance on accessing funding opportunities.

Meet representatives of European regional and national film funds in dedicated roundtables designed to explore co-production opportunities, territorial incentives, funding schemes and potential partnerships.

The Roundtables: Tools in Practice take place on Tuesday, October 20th, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at Palazzo Barberini.

Designed as small-scale, highly interactive sessions, rather than following a traditional panel or presentation format, each session is conceived as an informal, moderated conversation. The host will briefly introduce their company and participants will have the opportunity to introduce themselves, raise questions and explore areas of potential collaboration.

Conversations may address different aspects of the financing and investment landscape, including private credit, equity and co-investment.

Six exclusive roundtables. Six opportunities to connect with key players shaping the financing of film and audiovisual content: CAA MEDIA FINANCE, MCT Media Capital Technologies – Credit Solutions, Coficiné, Head Gear Films, Lief Entertainment, Cofiloisirs.

The limited number of participants is intended to encourage open exchange, practical discussion and meaningful professional connections. Participation is reserved for accredited professionals and is subject to prior registration.
