Many broadcasters from all over Europe have secured distribution rights for 1993, the second series that will follow the most acclaimed 1992, produced by Wildside and sold abroad by the Beta Film group. At the moment, the countries are Germany (Sky Germany), Spain (Movistar+/Telefonica), Francc (OCS), Greece and Cyprus (Nova), Belgium (Telenet), Scandinavia (HBO Nordic) and Israel (Hot).

Based on an idea of the leading actor Stefano Accorsi, who plays the part of the advertising manager Leonardo Notte, 1993 starts where 1992 left off: the Clean Hands scandal has wiped off almost an entire political class and out of the ashes of that system new parties and new faces will rise, among whom stands Silvio Berlusconi and his political party Forza Italia. The series is written by Stefano Sardo, Ludovica Rampoldi and Alessandro Fabbri.

The other actors Miriam Leone, Domenico Diele and Guido Caprino will be back for the second season, as well as the director Giuseppe Gagliardi. 1993 will be broadcast on Sky Italia starting from May.

Beta film signed deals also for Gomorrah (Sky Italia, Cattleya, Fandango), sold to the African pay-TV M-Net and to the Indian Tata-Sky. The third season is currently being filmed.
