Aranka is the founder of Featurette, a boutique agency that specializes in feature film acquisitions, co-productions and strategic planning. Working with a roster of theatrical distributors across Europe, past clients range from all-rights distributors to sales agents to multinational broadcasters and streamers. Notable acquisitions credits include: Parasite, Another Round, Drive My Car, Anatomy of a Fall, Zone of Interest, Fallen Leaves, Triangle of Sadness, Decision to Leave, Shoplifters, The Souvenir, First Cow, How to Have Sex and Aftersun. Aranka also trains for organizations like EAVE or Doha Film Institute, is an Inside Pictures and EAVE Puentes alumni, and is a voting member of the European Film Academy. From Cologne, she studied and worked in London and New York, where she also obtained a PhD. She currently lives in Amsterdam.
