Sky and Warner Bros. Discovery announce a new agreement that strengthens their multi-year partnership and brings as of today, June 30, the discovery+ app to Sky Q, in addition to the free and pay channels – Discovery Channel, Eurosport 1, Eurosport 2 – and on-demand content from Warner Bros. Discovery already present on the Sky platform.

In this way, Sky Q confirms itself as the benchmark for those who want to have, in one place, all the best Sky content and that of the leading streaming apps – as well as a unique and immersive viewing experience – and Warner Bros. Discovery further expands the reach of discovery+ to one of the most advanced platforms in Italy.

Thanks to Sky Extra, Sky Q subscribers will be able to join discovery+’s “Entertainment with Advertising” plan for the first 12 months at no additional cost on their Sky subscription.

There are many original shows present and coming soon on discovery+: from the brand new Tailor Made – Who’s got the stuff? with Tommaso Zorzi (available from June 28) to the long-awaited new season of Bake Off Italia (coming August 26), passing through the new edition of Marriage at First Sight (from July 15), crime genre programs, documentaries up to wrestling shows, which are once again available to Sky subscribers. All this content complements Sky’s already rich entertainment with new seasons of Sky Original titles Bruno Barbieri – 4 Hotel (from June 30 on Sky Uno and on demand) and Paola Marella – A Dream for Rent (from July 3 on Sky Uno and on demand).

Andrea Duilio, CEO of Sky Italia, comments, “We are very pleased with this new agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery, which consolidates our collaboration in Italy and confirms once again how Sky is the partner of excellence for the main content producers. Our strategy of aggregating the main streaming apps on Sky Q thus takes another step forward. All this further enriches the choice of quality content for our subscribers who, in addition to the always highly appreciated Sky Original productions, can now also find on Sky Q the many shows signed discovery+, with a truly extraordinary viewing experience.

Alessandro Araimo, general manager Southern Europe Warner Bros. Discovery, comments, “Sky is a historic partner for our group and we are delighted to extend the collaboration in a key market like Italy. The content of the Warner Bros. Discovery are a key asset to propose to the market with a truly varied offer, thanks to their originality and constant ability to renew. The arrival of discovery+ on Sky Q reinforces our strategy of being present on all major platforms, offering subscribers the best possible experience.
