Rai has announced its line-up for autumn 2019 and winter 2020, including international co-productions and new seasons of the most awaited Italian TV series.

In the autumn, the third season of Medici, international co-production by Lux Vide in collaboration with Rai Fiction, Altice Group and Big Light Productions, directed by Christian Duguay, will air on Rai1. In the spring, instead, the second season of My Brilliant Friend, co-produced by Fandango and Wildside in collaboration with Rai Fiction and HBO Entertainment and in co-production with Umedia will be broadcasted. The series, based on the novel by Elena Ferrante, is directed by Saverio Costanzo and Alice Rohrwacher.

La guerra è finita starring Michele Riondino, is a new series set in Italy after the Second World War, directed by Michele Soavi and produced by Palomar in collaboration with Rai Fiction. New episodes of Inspector Montalbano, produced by Palomar, will air on Rai1.

Rai relaunches the family genre with the second season of La strada di casa starring Alessio Boni, directed by Riccardo Donna and co-produced by Rai Fiction and Casanova Multimedia. Here the new series recently announced. Vivi e lascia vivere with Elena Sofia Ricci is a light drama co-produced by Rai Fiction and Bibi Film Tv. Angela with Vanessa Incontrada is an action thriller directed by Andrea and Maria Porporati and produced by 11 Marzo Film in collaboration with Rai Fiction. Vite in fuga with Anna Valle is a family-thriller directed by Luca Ribuoli and co-produced by Rai Fiction and PayperMoon Italia.

As for the coming of age genre, Rai has announced Ognuno è perfetto by Giacomo Campiotti, coproduced by Rai Fiction and Viola Film, starring Edoardo Leo and Cristiana Capotondi, and Pezzi unici by Cinzia TH Torrini, with Sergio Castellitto, co-produced by Rai Fiction and Indiana Production, in collaboration with Cassiopea Film Production.

New Rai season line-up includes also some crime series, such as the new Imma Tataranni – Sostituto Procuratore by Francesco Amato, co-produced by Rai Fiction and ITV Movie, with Vanessa Scalera, and Il Commissario Ricciardi by Alessandro D’Alatri, co-produced by Rai Fiction and Clemart and starring Lino Guanciale. Rocco Schiavone, the series with Marco Giallini based on the novels by Antonio Manzini, moves to Rai1. The TV series by Simone Spada is co-produced by Rai Fiction, Cross Productions and Beta Film.

Rai has also announced the thriller Bella da morire, with Cristiana Capotondi, directed by Andrea Molaioli and produced by Cattleya in collaboration with Rai Fiction, and Io ti cercherò, with Alessandro Gassman, directed by Gianluca Maria Tavarelli and co-produced by Rai Fiction and Publispei.

As for the daily line-up, in the autumn the new season of Il Paradiso delle Signore daily, co-produced by Rai Fiction and Aurora Tv, will air on Rai1.

The new seasons of Don Matteo with Terence Hill and Un passo dal cielo with Daniele Liotti, both produced by Lux Vide in collaboration with Rai Fiction, and Nero a metà with Claudio Amendola, co-produced by Rai Fiction and Cattleya, will be broadcasted on Rai1.

The new season of Cacciatore – The Hunter starring Francesco Montanari, directed by Davide Marengo and co-produced by Cross Productions and Beta Film in collaboration with Rai Fiction, and Volevo fare la rockstar, directed by Matteo Oleotto and co-produced by Rai Fiction and Pepito Produzioni, will air on Rai2.
