The highly anticipated 10th edition of Filming Italy – Los Angeles is set to take place from February 19 to 22, 2025, in Los Angeles. Founded and directed by Tiziana Rocca, the festival is organized by Agnus Dei in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles, under the direction of Emanuele Amendola. The event is supported by APA (Associazione Produttori Audiovisivi), under the patronage of the Consulate General of Italy in Los Angeles, and in partnership with ITA (Italian Trade Agency).
The festival serves as a platform to promote Italian cinema on the international stage, highlighting Italy as a prime location for film productions and fostering cultural exchange between the Italian and American entertainment industries. The program includes exclusive premieres, restored classics, TV series, short films, and documentaries, many of which have yet to be released worldwide.
“I am thrilled to announce the 10th edition of Filming Italy – Los Angeles, a milestone for a festival that has become a bridge between Italy and the U.S., dedicated to showcasing and celebrating Italian cinema abroad,” said Tiziana Rocca, emphasizing the festival’s role within Los Angeles’ Film Awards Season. She also highlighted the strong presence of women in this year’s edition, with Isabella Ferrari as the festival’s ambassador.
Lucia Borgonzoni, Undersecretary at the Italian Ministry of Culture, described the event as “an extraordinary showcase for the entire film industry,” while Emanuele Amendola pointed out the festival’s commitment to environmental sustainability, particularly in light of recent wildfires in California.
This year’s edition will welcome an impressive lineup of guests, including Michele Placido, Dolph Lundgren, Alec Baldwin, Gabriele Muccino, Marco Perego, Zoe Saldana, Steven Zaillian, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Alfre Woodard, and many more. Honorees will receive prestigious awards, and the festival will also support the Women In Film’s Wildfire Relief Fund, aiding industry professionals affected by the California wildfires.
With a mix of screenings, masterclasses, and discussions featuring prominent figures from Italian and international cinema, Filming Italy – Los Angeles celebrate the excellence of Italian filmmaking worldwide.
