Regione Veneto has launched today, October 8, 2024, a new call for funding to support film and audiovisual production, with a total financial allocation of €4 million.
The call is part of the Regional Program co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund 2021-2027. The funds are distributed as follows: €3.6 million for feature films, TV series, and animation, while the remaining €400,000 will be allocated to documentaries, short films, and XR.
The objectives of the call are to strengthen the competitiveness of companies in Veneto’s film and audiovisual sector, to highlight local technical and artistic expertise, and to promote the knowledge of the region’s cultural, landscape, and local production heritage.
Interested companies must be registered with the Film Companies Registry and meet specific minimum expenditure requirements in the Veneto region. The funding will be disbursed with a 40% advance and two final payment phases, with deadlines extending to May 2026.
