WarnerMedia, leading company in the media and entertainment sector, announces an important news in the EMEA executive team: Barbara Salabè, recently appointed Country Manager of WarnerMedia Italy, increases and expands her responsibilities by adding to her mandate the corporate activities of Spain and Portugal.

Barbara Salabè, former President and CEO of Warner Bros. Entertainment Italia, will lead all WarnerMedia commercial and marketing activities in the three territories. She will report directly to Priya Dogra (President, WarnerMedia Entertainment Networks, EMEA and APAC), as a member of her executive team.Barbara Salabè began her career in Germany at the Kirch Group and, after returning to Italy, among other things she managed the acquisition of entertainment channels for Stream. Salabè joined WarnerMedia nine years ago and in the past, prior to her experience at Stage Entertainment, she spent four years as Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Turner Broadcasting System Italia, starting the Italian start-up of Cartoon Network and Boomerang channels. also assuming the position of Chairman of CNN Italia SpA.

Salabè has so far been President and CEO of Warner Bros. Entertainment Italia, where she was responsible for the development of all the businesses of Warner Bros. in Italy, including production, marketing and distribution of film and home video (of the Studio and local productions), television distribution, consumer products, digital distribution and interactive entertainment, before taking on further oversight of WarnerMedia’s business operations.

Barbara Salabè’s responsibilities as Country Manager include the development and implementation of WarnerMedia’s strategy in the three territories and the coordination and optimization of all marketing and commercial activities: cinema distribution, Italian film productions, content licensing, home entertainment and consumer products, as well as advertising sales and distribution of WarnerMedia channels. Salabé will also work closely with their respective US and European functional leaders.
