“It had never happened that as many as 6 feature film productions were shooting in our region at the same time. We are talking about 3 productions in Venice and 3 in the rest of Veneto,” said Veneto Region President Luca Zaia.

Six sets are currently active simultaneously in the region, making the Veneto a focal point of Italian film production.
Specifically, the productions, which receive support from the Veneto Film Commission, are Primavera, directed by Venetian director Damiano Michieletto and based on the novel Stabat Mater by Tiziano Scarpa, an Italy-France co-production, produced by Indigo Film and Moana Films. Come fratelli, by Antonio Padovan, the new film in Rai 1’s “Purché finisca bene” cycle, produced by Pepito.

Le città della pianura is the debut feature by Francesco Sossai, with filming in Sedico and the Feltrino area, Padua, Chioggia and at the Brion memorial, produced by Vivo Film, Maze Pictures.

The Confessional, directed by Kazutaka Watanabe, Lost in Venice, by Claudia Garde. Winter Harvest, by Max Leonida, produced by Astarox Productions in collaboration with Settembre Productions and MovieStart.
