According to the forecast of the latest ITMedia Consulting report, the television market will grow at an average annual rate of 3.4%, thus reaching 8.8 billion euros in 2020. “The television market in Italy: 2018-2020 – The Netflix effect” – this is the report’s title – foreshadows a decisive surge in 2020. As a result of the development of technology and the arrival of new operators, free TV would be undermined by pay TV, which from the current 42% would rise to 55% of the total number of Italian families.
