The first Social Budget of the Film Commission Torino Piemonte Foundation was presented yesterday in Turin, as part of the panel “The Piedmont cinema system going global” held during the Torino Film Industry.

Film Commission Torino Piemonte President Beatrice Borgia, who spoke at the presentation, said, “It is with great pride that we present today the Foundation’s first Social Report, a publication that examines the countless areas of action, results, and economic and social impacts generated by our activities, and contributes to planning more consciously for the future.” And again, “The publication represents a moment of institutional reflection strongly desired by the Board of Directors, and an opportunity to critically and transparently measure outcomes and fruits obtained against the set objectives. The document integrates perfectly with the strategic lines set at the beginning of the mandate, combining the skills present in the structure with a managerial approach, with a focus on key concepts such as internationality, quality and social and environmental responsibility.”

The document is the result of the Memorandum of Understanding between the University of Turin, Politecnico di Torino, Museo Nazionale del Cinema, and Fondazione Film Commission Torino Piemonte, and was elaborated and structured by the Department Professor Paolo Biancone. A study on the activities, impact and economic return of the Foundation that showed a strongly positive outcome compared to previous studies.

Present at the meeting were Enzo Ghigo, president Museo Nazionale del Cinema and Paolo Del Brocco, managing director Rai Cinema. Also, Antonella Barbieri, director general APA, Benedetto Habib – president Unione Produttori ANICA, Matteo Bagnasco, head of Obiettivo Cultura Compagnia di S. Paolo and many others.

Film Commission Torino Piemonte vice president and pro-chancellor of the University of Turin, Giulia Carluccio, added how “thanks to the fruitful collaboration formalized and fostered by the Protocol, Film Commission Torino Piemonte is equipped with a fundamental tool to outline its role in the sector and in the social fabric of Piedmont and beyond, and in its various articulations the research highlights the strategic importance of the relationship with universities and the world of education and research in all its components.”
