From 16 September to 7 October 2024, it is possible to participate in the new edition of Netpitch, the project that aims to connect authors to producers.
Netpitch is a registered project of Writers Guild Italia and is promoted by WGI itself in agreement with APA – Audiovisual Producers Association, and can count on the support of Roma Lazio Film Commission and Dino Audino Editore.
It is possible to enter the competition with serial or feature films, whether fiction, documentary or animated.
The competition aims to guarantee a competitive meeting between authors and producers for the international market. For the 2024 edition of Netpitch, participating producers were asked to fill in a form to indicate which categories and audiovisual genres they were most interested in: the result was that the most sought-after products were series followed by feature films, while as far as genres were concerned, drama came first, followed by comedy in second place. In equal third place were thrillers, detective stories, biographies and sentimental products.
Once the application phase is closed on 7 October 2024 Netpitch will go live with the first phase of the competition, which will close on 28 October and in which the list of selected projects will be presented on the basis of the longlines and coverslides provided by the authors at the time of application. The second phase will close on 13 November and will take place on the basis of the pitch decks, and by 18 November the authors participating in the in-person pitches will be contacted.
