The third edition of “From Venice to London,” the film review organized in collaboration with the Venice Biennale, was inaugurated in the presence of Undersecretary for Culture Lucia Borgonzoni and with Italian Ambassador to Britain Inigo Lambertini and Institute Director Francesco Bongarrà. The series of seven films selected from those of the 80th Venice International Film Festival, all with English subtitles, will premiere in Britain.

“I thank Ambassador Lambertini and Director Francesco Bongarrà a friend to whom I had promised my presence here today. I came to talk about cinema and to see what can be done to put Italian cinema at the center, overcoming barriers,” Borgonzoni stressed at the opening.

Screenings will begin Thursday evening with a screening of ‘Io Capitano’ at the Curzon Myfair cinema. Other screenings will include ‘Felicità’ by Micaela Ramazzotti, ‘Lubo’ by Giorgio Diritti, ‘The Lion’s Share’ by Baptiste Etchegaray and Giuseppe Bucchi, ‘The Meatseller’ by Margherita Giusti produced by Luca Guadagnino, ‘Una sterminata domenica’ by Alain Parroni, and Enea by Pietro Castellitto.
