The first phase of Premio Franco Solinas has concluded and the eight works that will go directly to the final selection have been revealed. Premio Solinas is aimed at feature film projects for cinema and multimedia platforms and has reached its 39th edition with as many as 171 audiovisual products made.
Below or finalist projects for which the authors must, within three months, develop the screenplay. The developed projects will then be evaluated by a jury, which will decide the winner at the awards ceremony held every year in La Maddalena:
– Due, original title Noi due by Vittoria Paglino and Pierpaolo Moscatello;
– Follow the leader, original title L’antagonista by Giacomo Sebastiani and Fabrizio Parisi;
– Il sommo, original title Achilles non fa miracoli by Davide Petrosino and Pietro Jellinek;
– Ivan il quacchero, original title L’ultimo inverno by Riccardo Marchetto;
– Latte, original title Mamma by Alessandro Padovani and Lorenzo Bagnatori;
– Nel fiume silenzioso, original title Grigio Nebbia by Vincenzo Cascone and Lorenzo Ongaro;
– Nel nome che porto, original title Noi non ci sarà by Bianca Passanisi, Federico Galbiati and Arianna Ventura;
– Povero cuore, original title Spaccacuore by Chiara Aversa, Federico Amenta and Sofia Corbascio.
“A creative workshop active all year round, engaged in the strategic area of discovering and promoting young talent for Italian cinema and audiovisuals. It is a work we share with the entire industry chain and especially with the 36 jurors – screenwriters, producers, film critics, writers, directors and actors – who this year carefully and seriously evaluated the 478 stories submitted to the competition anonymously,” said Annamaria Granatello, president and director of the Prize.
