The final stage of the Cosplay Grand Tour by Riot Games 2024, the competition of Italian cosplayers dedicated to the characters of League of Legends, will close on the last day of the 58th edition of Lucca Comics & Games.
League of Legends is a MOBA, Multiplayer Online Battle Arena, developed by Riot Games in 2009 and boasting over 130 million monthly active users. The 2023 League of Legends World Championship has recorded more than 4 million spectators.
The tour kicked off on 28th April 2024 at COMICON in Naples and then went on to FalComics in Falconara Marittima, Etna Comics in Catania and Riminicomix in the Romagna town of the same name. At each of the stages the jury assessed the participating cosplayers in five different categories:
- Best Interpretation
- Best Armour/Prop
- Best Tailoring
- Community Award
- Best Overall Costume
It will be in the frame of Lucca Comics & Games 2024, the main event of the sector at Italian and European level, that the final will be held: the winners in the Best Absolute Costume category of each stage will compete in the realisation of a cosplay based on Arcane, the animated series set in the League of Legends universe, distributed by Netflix and produced by Riot Games and Fortiche Productions whose second season is scheduled for winter 2024.
