The Copenhagen International Documentary Festival, held this year from March 15th to the 25th, is one of the most important and successful events in the field of documentaries. The festival puts together different product types and formats, from journalistic reports to experimental cinema. There is also a great diversity of directors attending, creating a unique scenario in which both veterans and emerging authors can share their art.

Among the documentaries nominated to the festival a few stood out: in terms of content originality, Walcome to Sodom, which shows us the place where all the hardware of our devices go, so as to demonstrate to what extent is technology not immaterial; Laila at The Bridge, about the story of an Afghan woman who opened a rehab center for drug addicts. Among other productions with lighter and pop topics, one of the stars of the evening was the biopic of Vivienne Westwood, well-known British designer, under the title Westwood: Punk, Icon, Activist. Finally, the last highly interesting and hot nomination, under the shape of a journalistic inquiry, was In Our New President which presents an analysis of Trump’s election.
