Sky Italia launches Sky WiFi, an ultra broadband offer initially intended for subscribers which will be extended later to non-Sky subscribers.
Partners of the operation are Open Fiber – with whom Sky has signed a wholesale agreement that allows Sky Wifi to reach 26 of the main Italian cities (120 by summer) – and Fastweb, which is used to connect in areas not reached by Open Fiber.
The offer includes a Triple Play solution that combines a rich offer of quality content, the vision of Sky Q and a stable and performing connection. The commercial offer is dedicated to Sky subscribers in the areas covered by Open Fiber, with three alternative solutions: Smart, Ultra and Ultra Plus.
“Our ambitious goal is to offer our customers and future customers an integrated, convergent service and connectivity”, Sky Italia CEO Maximo Ibarra declared.
The operation required an investment of € 230 million and 270 people hired.
