Oracle, an IT multinational headquartered in Austin, Texas, and Rai Way, the company that owns Rai’s radio and television signal broadcasting network, have signed an agreement combining the former’s database systems and solutions with the latter’s server and storage device hosting services.
The aim of the partnership is both to support companies, expanding the AI proposition and promoting digitisation, and to add a further layer of protection against any attempts by cyber-criminals to geographically locate data.
“The partnership between Rai Way and Oracle allows to combine the benefits of a distributed platform of high-capacity interconnected data centres with access to state-of-the-art cloud and edge computing services. This collaboration not only provides access to services closer to the end user, but also increases data security and promotes sustainability, contributing substantially to the digitisation of the country,” concludes Roberto Cecatto, Chief Executive Officer of Rai Way.
