Film partecipato, open to professionals and non-professionals, it is aimed at making documentaries, investigations, video portraits, animation works, as long as they are within the framework of reality cinema, or send non-editing footage, family films, videoblogs and amateur materials.

In addition to its emphasis on documentary cinema, the project, conceived by Antonietta De Lillo, has its focus in participation, that is, in the choral character of the work, realized through the contributions and filmed stories of various authors, on an assigned theme valid for all: Man and the Beast.

After a period of silence, Participatory Project restarts with the new call Fare un film – supported by MIC – Pnrr/digitization, innovation, culture – Next Generation EU .

Participation is free and the call for applications will close on December 31, 2023. Thirty authors will be selected from the applications received, and they will follow workshops and a mentoring course closely related to the creative process, scheduled between February and March 2024 in three Italian cities: Palermo, Naples and Rome.

After the workshops, three quality juries will select two projects from each venue, for a total of six winners, who will be awarded a prize of 3,000 euros and have access to artistic and production mentoring provided by Marechiarofilm. The six winners will produce their works by January 2025.

Project partner Aamod – Audiovisual Archive of the Workers’ and Democratic Movement, which will award a prize to one of the projects involving the reuse of archival material, while Premio Solinas will offer, instead, the opportunity for one of the six finalists to participate in professional meetings as part of Premio Solinas – Documentary for Cinema 2024.
