Premio Solinas and Netflix announce the birth of La Bottega della Sceneggiatura, a high-level coaching and training initiative aimed at aspiring TV screenwriters.

The initiative is aimed at young people who represent Italian multiculturalism. The itinerary is divided into several phases: skills refinement, field experience and access to work.

Initially, 20 candidates will be selected to take part in the Orientation Workshop. At the end of this phase, ten projects will receive a scholarship of € 2,500 to participate in the next step, the Higher Education Workshop. The names of some of the mentors include those of Isabella Aguilar, screenwriter for I Cesaroni, Un medico in famiglia and Baby, Filippo Gravino, screenwriter for Gomorra – La serie and Romulus (MIA GREENLit 2020) and Collettivo Grams, screenwriters for Baby.

At the end of the workshop, the authors of the two most deserving projects will be awarded with access to a Writers’ Room in which Netflix is involved. The first project will also receive the La Bottega della Sceneggiatura Prize, worth €6000.

Aspiring screenwriters must be between 18 and 35 years old, with residence or domicile in Italy. Applications will be open until 30 September 2021.
