Today, during the panel “ANICA ACADEMY Foundation The Future of the Audiovisual Industry lies on the development of skills and new talents”, the birth of the ANICA ACADEMY Foundation has been announced.

The main purpose of the Foundation will be the training of skills and new talents, to meet the growing demand for qualified professionals in the audiovisual sector.

The panel,moderated by Piera Detassis, President and Artistic DirectorAcademia del Cinema Italiano Premi David di Donatello Awards , was attended by leading figures in the industry, all involved in this new project:

  • Francesco Rutelli, President of Anica;
  • Giampaolo Letta,Vice President and CEO Medusa Film;
  • Eleonora Andreatta, Vice President of Italian Netflix Original Series;
  • Fabrizio Salini, CEO RAI;
  • Jaime Ondarza, Executive Vice President and General Manager South Hub ViacomCBS;
  • Massimiliano Orfei, COO Vision Distribution.

“This idea was born from the requests of our companies […]. We have done something that will remain in time, we need to form skills for the world to come, which will no longer be the same and we must therefore form professional figures in the interest of the people we represent.” said Francesco Rutelli.

Fabrizio Salini also stressed the importance of this project, especially on the youth employment front: “Among the merits of an initiative like this is to open the doors to a sector that is seen from the outside as impenetrable. This is an important signal because we open to young people and not, to unexpressed talents and creativity”.

To represent Netflix’s commitment in the project there was Eleonora Andreatta: “The Italian audiovisual has expressed the best of itself, highlighting a very valuable expertise at this time. Given this growth it’s in our priorities to focus on the education of specialized professionals”.
