Once again, the Cannes Film Festival will benefit from the partnership of Italy for Movies “Filming Italy Sardegna Festival”. The event, conceived and directed by Tiziana Rocca, takes place in collaboration with APA – Associazione Produttori Audiovisivi, with the patronage of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, the Municipality of Cagliari, the Consorzio Costa Smeralda and with the collaboration of Forte Village and will be held from 20 to 23 June in Cagliari.
Among the guests will be the American actress and singer Bella Thorne, who will be awarded the Filming Italy International Award for her directorial debut short film entitled Paint Her Red, which will be screened during the Festival.
Also, Ambra Angiolini will be the godmother of the event and Paz Vega president of the jury of the short film section, composed of, among others, Claudio Bisio, Claudia Gerini, Paola Minaccioni, Salvatore Esposito, Margherita Mazzucco, Stefano Arduini, Andrea Minuz. “I am very happy to present the seventh edition here in Cannes, an important milestone for a Festival that has become a reference point for the promotion of audiovisual products and for many young students who have approached the world of cinema full of hopes and curiosity. And we have also found ourselves playing the role of forerunner of the summer film season, managing to attract many important international and Italian talents, who after seven years consider this festival a cornerstone of the sector”, declared Tiziana Rocca, General Director of the Festival, in Cannes.
