The 2022 Emmys nominations allowed HBO and HBO Max to remain comfortably in the lead with 140 nominations combined, surpassing Netflix, which reached 105 nominations this year.

HBO alone scored 114, thanks to a haul of 25 nominations for Succession, 20 for The White Lotus, 16 for Euphoria, and 14 for Barry. HBO Max got 17 for Hacks. Last year, HBO/HBO Max and Netflix engaged in a tight duel that is likely to continue for years to come.

This year, however, Netflix made history with its first Emmys award for a non-English-language production, Squid Game, the platform’s product that garnered the most nominations (14), followed by Ozark and Stranger Things (13).

Hulu had a great year with 58 nominations, fueled by Only Murders in the Building (17), Dopesick (14) and Pam and Tommy (10), doubling last season’s results.

Apple TV+ also received a good number of nominations with 52 mentions. Among the jewels in the crown at the 2022 Emmys, the streaming service scored a nomination for best comedy series for Ted Lasso (20) and a spot in the competitive drama series race with Severance (14).

The top 15 platforms are rounded out by: Disney+ (34), Prime Video (30), CBS (29), NBC (28), ABC (23), FX (23), Showtime (17), Paramount+ (11), VH1 (10), Bravo (8), YouTube (8) and AMC (7).
