Creative Europe announced the winners of the first call for “Support for Development of Audiovisual Content – Single Project”, 4 Italian productions will get the total amount of  €175.000. 

The call is part of their MEDIA program and it’s designed to increase the production of audiovisual works targeted for the European and worldwide circulation. Only 65 out of the 269 projects presented has won the contribution, which will amount to €1.580.000. 

Italy achieved 21% tax of success, which is very close to the European average of 22%, indeed 19 Italian productions answered the call and 4 of them managed to get the Creative Europe support, with 4 animation projects, 6 fiction projects and 9 documentaries. 

The Italian winners are Articolture (Bologna), who will obtain €25.000 for their documentary Decadenza; Asmara Films (Roma) got €30.000 for A town in Patagonia, a fiction project; Small Boss from Parma and Studio Bozzetto & Co from Milano got €60.000 each fro animation projects The Tree of Ears and Beasties!.
