During the events organized by ANICA for the Venice Film Festival, Distributors National President Luigi Lonigro announced the creation of a new commission to support, innovate and promote film distribution.

The purpose of the Commission to study, innovate and promote, said Luigi Lonigro, is to address the changes that the distribution sector is experiencing, from the rise of the digital era to post-Covid recovery, and to promote the importance of distributors’ work.

The management of the new commission was entrusted to Andrea Romeo, founder of the very young production company I Wonder Pictures, which participates in the Venice Film Festival with 5 films.

With regard to this new think tank, Andrea Romeo thanked Luigi Lonigro and the President of ANICA Francesco Rutelli for their trust, and hoped that the commission can already plan something for the Rome Film Festival.
