Everything is ready for the eighth edition of Filming Italy – Los Angeles, the festival dedicated to promoting Italian cinema internationally.

This year’s edition will be held in Los Angeles from 28 February to 3 March in mixed mode, live and digital. Also new will be the CLASSIC section, which will present some restored masterpieces of Italian cinema.

Filming Italy – Los Angeles is organised by Tiziana Rocca, Istituto Italiano di Cultura and Agnus Dei in collaboration with APA – Associazione Produttore Audiovisivi and under the patronage of Ministero degli Affari Esteri della Cooperazione Internazionale, Direzione Generale Cinema e Audiovisivo, il Ministero delle Imprese e del Made in Italy, Italian Trade Agency and CONI , and under the auspices of the Consolato Generale d’Italia Los Angeles.

The aim of the event, in addition to promoting Italian cinema, is to support collaboration between the American and Italian film industries.

Special guest of the eighth edition will be Giancarlo Giannini, who will be presented with the Filming Italy Achievement Award on the closing night of 3 March.

This year’s Filming Italy – Los Angeles is dedicated to the memory of Gina Lollobrigida. The celebration of the actress will include screenings of some of her best-known masterpieces.
