The Friuli Venezia Giulia Film Commission has announced the first call for its 2025 regional film fund, with applications open until February 28. The fund is available to film and audiovisual production companies with ATECO code 59.11 or 59.12 (or equivalent NACE Rev.2), supporting projects such as fiction or documentary series, fiction films with a minimum duration of 52 minutes, documentaries, and short films.
Independent audiovisual production companies, whether Italian, EU, or non-EU, are eligible to apply as sole producers, co-producers, or executive producers. The contribution amount depends on the type of project: for fiction or documentary series and fiction films, up to 30% of eligible costs can be funded, with a maximum contribution of €300,000. For documentaries and short films, the funding can reach up to 35% of eligible costs, with a maximum of €30,000 for documentaries and €10,000 for short films.
Contributions may be advanced up to 50% upon the submission of a bank guarantee or insurance surety bond, except for amounts equal to or less than €15,000, which do not require such guarantees. The balance is disbursed within 90 days of the submission of the financial report.
This is the first of three funding windows for 2025. Following the February 28 deadline, applications can also be submitted by June 30 and September 30. For more information and to apply, visit the Friuli Venezia Giulia Film Commission’s website.
