Dalla Francia arriva la serie RAGE, prodotta da Manon Robillot e Laetitia Quentin de Gromard (Madelon Production), che vede coinvolto come regista il pluripremiato Xavier Dolan, e come sceneggiatori Anais Topla, Mathieu Gouny e Marc Herpoux. Ambientata nella Parigi dei primi anni ’80, racconta l’ascesa del movimento skinhead che diede vita ai gruppi militanti conosciuti come skinhunters. Dai Paesi Bassi arrivano due serie crime: HITLER’S HORSES: AN ARTHUR BRAND STORY, prodotta da Femke Wolting (Submarine) e scritta da Ed McCardie, basata sulle vere indagini nel mondo dell’arte del celebre detective olandese; e RED LIGHT EMPIRE/KONING VAN DE WALLEN, prodotta da Leontine Petit e Tom van Blommestein (Lemming Film), diretta da Tim Oliehoek e scritta da Michael Leendertse e Sarah Offringa, che racconta l’ascesa di un orfano dell’Olocausto determinato a creare un impero nel quartiere a luci rosse di Amsterdam. Dalla Palestina, DYOUF (GUESTS), una serie dramedy proveniente dal DFI series lab (partner di MIA Drama), prodotta da May Jabareen (Philistine Films) e scritta da Saleh Saadi. La serie segue Shadi, costretto a tornare al suo villaggio beduino in Palestina per aiutare la madre a gestire una guesthouse. Dal Regno Unito, due show innovativi: PLUNDER, prodotto da JT Wong (Three Tables Productions) e scritto da Chris Cornwell, thriller avvincente che racconta di una ladra esperta d’arte in missione per recuperare tesori cinesi rubati; e WRITERS RETREAT, prodotto da Chiara Cardoso (Blackbox Multimedia) e scritto da Lindsay Shapero, ambientato in un luxury retreat in Spagna, dove la scomparsa di un ospite spinge la proprietaria a indagare tra le testimonianze contraddittore di un gruppo di scrittori eccentrici. Dalla Repubblica Ceca arriva THE LAST GODDESS/ŽÍTKOVSKÉ BOHYNĚ, prodotta da Kateřina Černá, Pavel Strnad e Petr Oukropec (Negativ Film Production), scritta da Sára Zeithammerová e Hana Neničková. La serie segue Dora, l’ultima donna di una lunga stirpe di guaritrici costretta a tornare al proprio villaggio per proteggere la figlia in grembo da un’antica maledizione. Dalla Finlandia, due grandi show: HUNTING FOR GHOSTS/POLKU PIMEYTEEN, prodotto da Roope Lehtinen (Fire Monkey) e scritto da Mikko Pöllä, in cui un giovane introverso si unisce a un club di autodifesa di estrema destra diventando inaspettatamente parte di un complotto terroristico; e DIRTY PLAY, un progetto finlandese-norvegese prodotto da Olli Haikka (Yellow Film & TV, Finlandia) e Gudny Hummelvoll (Hummelfilm, Norvegia), scritto da Josefiina Rautiainen e Paul Howard, che racconta l’ascesa di un giovane calciatore africano costretto a confrontarsi con lo sfruttamento e il lato oscuro del mondo dello sport. Dalla Grecia AÏNTA!, prodotta da Andreas Zoupanos Kritikos (Faliro House Productions) e scritta da Kevin Zans Ansong e Stavros Pamballis. La serie segue un rapper greco originario del Ghana in cerca di successo che, dopo l’incontro con un produttore di blues, intraprende un viaggio emozionante alla scoperta di se stesso. Dall’Irlanda arriva THE ROARING BANSHEES, prodotta da Paul Donovan (Deadpan Pictures) e scritta da John Morton e Peter McGann. Una storia gangster al femminile ambientata nella Chicago del Proibizionismo che combina azione, dark humor e una forte identità irlandese. Dalla Svizzera P26, prodotta da Azra Djurdjevic (Filmgerberei) e scritta da Fanny Nussbaumer, Pascal Glatz, Noëmi Steffen, Nicole Tobler, Ares Ceylan, che racconta la storia di una casalinga di periferia reclutata da un’unità segreta dell’esercito svizzero negli anni ’80. Dalla Germania, un progetto in coproduzione con l’Italia, CONNECTION LOST – THE STORY OF LIA OLIVETTI, co-prodotto da Melina Voss (Unframed Productions, Germania), Tobias Timme (UFA Fiction, Germania) e Maria Grazia Saccà (Titanus Production, Italia), scritto da Melina Voss e Maja Costa, racconta la storia di una giovane ragazza prodigio della matematica che, dopo la morte del padre biologico, eredita il suo computer segreto e i suoi nemici. E infine, dall’Italia, due grandi show: CASANOVA INVESTIGATES/LE INDAGINI DI GIACOMO CASANOVA, prodotto da Massimo Del Frate (Banijay Studios Italy) e scritto da Peter Exacoustos, Magda Mangano e Laura Nuti, thriller ispirato alla vita di Giacomo Casanova nella Venezia del XVIII secolo; e CATERINA, prodotto da Gloria Giorgianni (Anele) e scritto da Mariolina Venezia, Dario Sardelli e Debora Alessi, che vede una procuratrice minorile tornare nella sua città natale e affrontare fantasmi del passato, mentre lotta per la giustizia.
