In an interview with Variety Ann Sarnoff, the first woman CEO of Warner Bros., outlined a picture of the business over the past year.

One of the main topics discussed was the reorganisation of the company with the creation of the new “Studios and Networks Group” division, headed by Ann Sarnoff herself, which assemble together all production and distribution activities, both of cinema and streaming.

The objective of this new structure is to strengthen HBO Max, which is considered an extraordinary promotional tool to cross-reference and compare the various aspects of the supply chain, both in the processing and distribution phases.

Questioned about movie theaters, the CEO of Warner Bros. stressed the importance of having released Tenet in cinemas and confirmed that Wonder Woman 1984 should do the same at Christmas this year.

Among the projects for the future, continues Ann Sarnoff, there is certainly the valorization of Warner’s animated characters, such as Bugs Bunny and Duffy Duck, in a similar way to Disney.
