Warner Bros. announced its streaming service Max will arrive in Australia in the first half of 2025.
Max was launched as HBO Max in spring 2020 in Latin America and Europe. In August 2022 it was announced that it would merge with Discovery+ with a corresponding name change.
The release of Warner’s streaming service in Australia will bring new subscribers to the almost 98 million currently active.
Max can count on an extensive catalogue that includes entertainment programmes such as Top Gear, critically acclaimed TV series such as The Office and The O.C. through to film classics such as Casablanca.
The announcement of the streaming service’s imminent launch in Australia was made by James Gibbons, President of Asia Pacific at Warner Bros. Discovery at APOS 2024 in Bali.
