Warner Bros. has announced the acquisition of Player First Games, the developer team behind MultiVersus, a video game in which iconic characters such as Batman and Velma fight each other in incredible and absurd ways, creating a universe of endless possibilities.

Rumours say they are not surprised by the acquisition, which was made with a view to strengthening the collaboration between publisher and studio in order to grow the game. On the platform of the free-to-play video game, i.e. one that allows players to enjoy the basic products for free, it is reported that new maps will arrive, which “transform legendary locations into iconic battlefields” and a Player versus Environment (PvE) mode will be introduced, in which the Player is pitted against the Environment, i.e. the video game and everything in it, which encourages cooperation between multiple players.

“Our team is excited to join the Warner Bros. Games family, and we feel that this will be great for MultiVersus overall,” Huynh said. “We are working to make the MultiVersus game experience the best it can be and having our development team integrated with the publisher is optimum for the players.”
