With the new season premiere of Vikings set to air next month in the US, History Channel has posted a new promo picture and four new trailers for the upcoming season.

The picture portrays the main characters – Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig), Ivar “the Boneless” (Alex Høgh Andersen), King Harald Fairhair (Peter Franzén), Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) and Ubbe (Jordan Patrick Smith) – accompanied by the sentence “Who will fall?”. Everything about it seems to say that a battle is about to erupt, in order to establish who will take the throne after the protagonist, Ragnar Lothbrok’s shocking death at the end of last season. Jonathan Rhys Meyers will join the cast, playing the character of Bishop Heahmund, an indomitable knight ready to fight for his beliefs and his King.
