For the 2024 edition of FIDMarseille, which will be held from June 25 to 30 in the French city, two titles that passed through MIA 2023 have also been selected. These are the film Bluish by Lilith Kraxner and Milena Czernovsky, produced by Lixi Frank and David Bohun (Panama Film, Austria), and The Flame of a Candle (Sob a chama da candeia) by André Gil Mata, produced by André Gil Mata and Marta Lima (Rua Escura, Portugal) and Clémentine Mourão-Ferreira (so-cle, France).

Regarding Bluish, the film, produced by Lixi Frank and David Bohun of Austria’s Panama Film, was the winner of the Screen International Award at the last edition of MIA.
Bluish was one of the eight projects presented in the C EU Soon 2023 section along with The Flame of a Candle by André Gil Mata.

“The film is the portrait of a generation rediscovering itself, embracing both the highs and the lows of life. This young duo of directors promises to bring the vibes of Generation Z to the screen through electrifying images,” said the jurors when awarding the prize to the two authors.

The Festival, in addition to a vast program attentive to emerging forms, which over its 25 editions has made it a reference point for independent cinema, maintains its high international recognition for the importance of its work in research and discovering new talents.
