As announced on July 21st, from August 24th to September 24th the first eco-friendly floating arena experience in the city of Rome, the TimVision Floating Theatre, will be held at Laghetto dell’Eur, in collaboration with Eur Spa and Timvision.
Today, August 24th, the event will be inaugurated by director Oliver Stone, who will exhibit his autobiography Chasing the Light, which will be available in bookstores from 27 August and, subsequently, together with Fabia Bettini and Gianluca Giannelli will present his 1987 Wall Street.
Thanks to this event, Tim is getting closer and closer to the world of cinema and entertainment, as stated by Luca Josi, Head of Brand Strategy, Media & Multimedia Entertainment at TIM.
The arena will have a capacity of 150 seats, with audio diffused with wireless headphones, for 30 days of screening program, and will be included in the Moviement Village project.
In the screening program we will find the black and white version of Parasite, the Oscar nominated film Mister Link by Chris Butler (an animated stop-motion film kindly granted by the Leone Film Group and by 01 Distribution which will distribute it in Italian cinemas from September 17).
The program also includes meetings dedicated to rookie directors nominated for the David 65 in 2020, created together with Piera Detassis, President and Artistic Director of the Accademia del Cinema Italiano – Premi David di Donatello.
Among the special events there will also be the one for the 30th anniversary of the death of Ugo Tognazzi, in which Maria Sole Tognazzi will participate.
“A significant choice: to debut it takes a taste for innovation and a sense of risk, the same values that the great Marco Ferreri and Ugo Tognazzi still teach us, united in the masterpiece The monkey woman that TimVision Floating Theatre and David will celebrate in a special evening” says Piera Detassis, president and artistic director of the Accademia del Cinema Italiano – Premi David di Donatello.
The TimVision Floating Theatre, conceived and organized by Alice nella Città in collaboration with Eur Spa, thanks to MiBACT and the Regione Lazio and with the patronage of the XI Municipio, brings with it the spirit of the 200 windows around the world that in the days of forced closure they have kept people together through cinema.
