The Italian animation studio and television productions Rainbow, creator of the popular Winx fairies, has decided to exit the market.

The long-lasting political deadlock to consolidate the new government in Italy has taken its first victim in Piazza Affari: the Winx fairies. Rainbow, the animation studio founded by Iginio Straffi, after having considered the current lack of suitable market conditions, has decided to exit the stock market.

The Rainbow studio based in Loreto, Marche, 30% of which belongs to Viacom, decided to go public with a 40% market share, with a very strong surplus and the success of its famous fairies in 180 countries around the world. However, investors have not responded with the awaited enthusiasm, and their listing on the Italian stock exchange has been more difficult than expected.
