The joint document aimed at calling for regulation on digital streaming platforms was also signed by Apa, Associazione Produttori Audiovisivo.
Representatives of the global audiovisual industry have drafted a number of indispensable demands in order to better protect streaming. These include, as reported by E-DUESSE.IT, the economic and cultural importance of local content and its strategic value. The possibility for local audiences to access a wide proposal of new local stories on all platforms and how all platforms that benefit financially from activities in local markets should contribute (proportionately) to the creation of new local content. Also emphasized is the need to support a healthy sector, including jobs, growth and exports.
