A new edition of the Giffoni Film Festival is about to return. From 19 to 28 July, the film festival for children and young people will take place in Giffoni Valle Piana, in the province of Salerno. This year, the President of the Campania Region Vincenzo De Luca will speak on the opening day, followed, over the course of the days, by many faces from Italian politics and institutions. From Elly Schlein, secretary of the Partito Democratico to Giancarlo Giorgetti, Minister of Economy and Finance. And then again the Minister of Sport and Youths Andrea Abodi, Cardinal Matteo Maria Zuppi, President of the Italian Episcopal Conference, Nicola Fratoianni, National Secretary of Sinistra Italiana and Giuseppe Conte, President of the 5 Star Movement.

Over 100 films will compete, together with fifty directors and five thousand jurors from all over the world. Among the special events that will take place during the festival, we can mention the one with Paolo Sorrentino who will present his latest work, Parthenope, Sul più bello – La serie with the cast present at the event, Sospesi by Paolo Ruffini who will speak together with the guests of the San Patrignano Community, L’arte della gioia based on the novel by Goliarda Sapienza with Valeria Golino, Tecla Insolia, Alma Noce and Giuseppe Spata and many others.

In addition, the tenth anniversary of Giffoni Next Generation, the innovation festival dedicated to under-30s selected by major Italian and international universities, will be celebrated.
