Myriam Weil has led Federation’s Documentary Division since its launch in 2018, producing and co-producing feature documentaries and series for linear channels, platforms, and cinema. “NADIA” (CANAL+), a feature documentary telling the remarkable story of Afghan-born football player Nadia Nadim, directed by Anissa Bonnefont, received a nomination for the 2022 International Emmy Awards, and was selected for over 30 festivals worldwide. “PETER DOHERTY: STRANGER IN MY OWN SKIN”, by Katia deVidas (PATHE LIVE, released theatrically in 14 countries, CANAL+, SKY) won the Best International Music Documentary award at In-Edit Barcelona in 2023, and was selected for over 30 festivals worldwide, from the Zurich Film Festival where it premiered to SXSW Sydney and CPH:DOX in Copenhagen. Among other recent projects, Weil just released “MH370 Missing” by award-winning director, Benoît Bringer (6 x30’, FRANCE 2, ZDF, Telefonica, Radio Canada), “KIM KARDASHIAN THEORY” by Nesrine Slaoui and Guillaume Erner (ARTE, RTS, 52’). Before that, Weil co-produced “ARSENE WENGER INVINCIBLE” by Gabriel Clarke & Christian Jeanpierre with Noah Media Group (PRIME VIDEO, CANAL+, DISCOVERY), “A LIFETIME APART” (FRANCE TELEVISIONS, CANAL+) by Baptiste Antignani, “SHOCKING SCHIAPARELLI” (ARTE, RTS) by Elise Chassaing, and numerous other documentaries with an international footprint. Myriam Weil began her career in journalism before becoming editor-in-chief of a daily talk show for CANAL+. Later, she joined the digital content app, Blackpills to launch factual and docuseries in over 15 countries.
