Amusement Park Film was founded in 2009 by Malte Grunert who today manages it together with Amelie von Kienlin. Klaus Dohle and Daniel Brühl are partners. Amusement Park sees itself as a European company based in Berlin focusing on the development of High-End Feature Films and Series. The company has been working with renowned international creatives since the beginning. Among the award-winning productions were A Most Wanted Man by Anton Corbijn starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, the Oscar nominated film Land of Mine by Martin Zandvliet and the directorial feature debut of Daniel Brühl Next Door that premiered in Competition at the Berlinale 2021. The most recent productions include the international series Munich Game for Sky and CBS Studios, created by Michal Aviram (Fauda) and directed by Philipp Kadelbach (Generation War) as well as All Quiet on the Western Front, a 2022 German anti-war film based on the 1929 novel of the same name by Erich Maria Remarque, directed by Edward Berger. In 2023 the film has been awarded with 7 Bafta Awards, including Best Picture, and 4 Oscars, including Best International Feature Film. Amusement Park Film has a number of projects in development, including serial adaptations of Günter Grass’ The Tin Drum and Nino Haratischwili’s The Eighth Life, an Untitled Adventure Film with director Edward Berger and several films for the German and international market. The principal photography of an 8-part series adaptation of the graphic novel Berlinoir with director Philipp Kadelbach started in spring 2024.
