As Executive Managing Director of TV Series at STUDIOCANAL, M-K Kennedy oversees the studio’s scripted television strategy and recently led the launch of STUDIOCANAL TELEVISION, STUDIOCANAL’s dedicated production arm. The division will debut with Army of Shadows for Channel 4 and CANAL+, which begins production in 2026. It builds on STUDIOCANAL’s position as Europe’s leading film and television studio, with extensive global production and distribution capabilities. Operating directly across nine major European markets, Australia and New Zealand, as well as the wider CANAL+ footprint, the studio holds stakes in 23 production companies worldwide and is dedicated to creating premium, popular television for global audiences.

Prior to joining STUDIOCANAL, Kennedy spent seven years at Netflix, most recently serving as Vice President of Production for Europe, based in Amsterdam. In that role, she built and led the production teams responsible for Netflix’s local-language series and films originating from France, Italy, Spain and Portugal, the DACH region and the Nordics, overseeing some of the platform’s biggest titles, including Lupin, Berlin, Machos Alfa, Liebes Kind, Society of the Snow and All Quiet on the Western Front.

Kennedy first joined Netflix to lead physical production for Spanish- and Portuguese-language series originating from Spain and South America. She served as production executive on hit productions including La Casa de las Flores, Ingobernable, O Mecanismo, Elite, Las Chicas del Cable, Dark and La Casa de Papel. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in building Netflix’s production teams across LATAM and EMEA and was the driving force behind the company’s first European production hub outside the UK at Madrid Content City.

Before Netflix, Kennedy spent seven years in Los Angeles at UCP and Universal Television, where she was the production executive responsible for USA and Syfy series including Psych, In Plain Sight and Warehouse 13, before overseeing numerous NBC productions such as Grimm, Marlon and The Slap.

Her move to Los Angeles followed a successful six-year run as a producer and executive at Telemundo Studios in Miami and later Mexico City, where she led the team that created Telemundo Studios Mexico. She began her television career in Washington, D.C., as a producer of the Hispanic Heritage Awards.

A native of Bucaramanga, Colombia, Kennedy is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame.
