Emanuele Marchesi is the Director of Sky Studios Italy. In his role, he oversees the creation of TV series, and his credits include, just to name a few, L’Arte della Gioia, M. Il Figlio del Secolo, Hanno Ucciso l’Uomo Ragno, and Avvocato Ligas.

He pursued a degree in Communication Sciences at the University of Bologna and a PhD in Semiotics at the University of Siena, always keeping a sharp focus on the audio-visual language. Following his studies, he began working in TV as an author and editor and then started his journey at Sky, working editorially on the Sky Cinema channels. In 2018, he joined the Sky Studios Italy team as Commissioning Editor

Currently, he is leading the Sky Studios team in Italy, following the numerous new Sky Originale series set to debut in the coming years and always scouting for new series ideas and creative talents.
