Sky has strengthened its content offering by signing a new agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery, marking a renewed phase in the partnership between the two groups and significantly expanding the range of content available to subscribers. The deal brings back ten free-to-air channels from the group, alongside the integration of the discovery+ app and a broad selection of Warner Bros. titles, set to enhance the film catalog on Sky and NOW.

A key pillar of the agreement is the expansion of the cinematic offering. Sky and NOW will gain access to an extensive Warner Bros. library, including both recent releases and well-known catalog titles. In addition to contemporary hits, the deal also opens the door to iconic films and landmark productions that have shaped cinema history, further strengthening the depth of the available catalog. The agreement also includes exclusive premieres and upcoming titles scheduled for release in the coming years, reinforcing Sky’s positioning in the premium content segment.

Another strategic component is the return of discovery+ to the Sky ecosystem. Starting from May 14, the app will once again be available directly on Sky devices, allowing users to access discovery+ Originals as well as a wide range of sports content from Eurosport. Major international events will be included, such as the Roland Garros, major cycling tours, and other key competitions.

The agreement is part of a broader strategy aimed at consolidating Sky’s content ecosystem by integrating linear channels, on-demand programming, and streaming services into a single user experience. The return of Warner Bros. Discovery channels, combined with the expansion of the film catalog and the reintegration of discovery+, strengthens the platform’s competitiveness in an increasingly convergent television and streaming market.
