Announced the winners in the category of documentaries of Silver Ribbons 2021.

My name is Francesco Totti by Alex Infascelli for Cinema del reale, The Rossellinis by Alessandro Rossellini as Best Documentary on Cinema, The Braibanti case of Carmen Giardina and Massimiliano Palmese among the docufictions (with a mention for The Truth about La Dolce Vita by Giuseppe Pedersoli). Sanpa by Cosima Spender and Edizione straordinaria by Walter Veltroni were also awarded, while Punta Sacra by Francesca Mazzoleni went the first edition of the Valentina Pedicini Award.

Significant awards with which the National Executive of the SNGCI, decided to emphasize the importance of “cinema of the real” in an edition dedicated this year to the memory of Cecilia Mangini.

The Directors’ Board of Silver Ribbons has already announced the Special Awards of Nastri 75 for the Documentary “Notturno” by Gianfranco Rosi and “Salvatore – Shoemaker of Dreams” by Luca Guadagnino awarded by the Film Journalists.

The awards were chosen in a selection of 60 titles among the 170 released in 2020 and viewed by the Jury of the National Board. The short list selected for the vote by Maurizio Di Rienzo with the National Board (composed by Laura Delli Colli with Fulvia Caprara, Oscar Cosulich, Paolo Sommaruga and Stefania Ulivi) concerns, by regulation, films proposed in the solar year (2020) from festivals and reviews also on TV platforms and networks.
