From 9 to 11 September 2023, the second edition of Al Jazeera Documentary Industry Days at AJB DOC will take place, the event that promotes the dissemination and development of the documentary genre by bringing together the main players in the field.

The festival will be held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and will be launched during the Al Jazeera Balkans Documentary Film Festival 2023. Projects from South-Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, the Middle East and North Africa will be presented.

The first edition of the Al Jazeera Documentary Industry Days at AJB DOC saw the participation of more than twenty projects and the distribution of $60,000 made available by Al Jazeera Documentary Channel and Al Jazeera Balkans.The prizes for this second edition total $70,000, to which must be added the $20,000 that can be awarded by the event’s partners. In addition to these financial prizes, there are also various other prizes to be awarded during the event.

There were 177 projects submitted to this year’s edition from 52 countries, and 22 titles made it to the shortlist of finalists:
