From Cate Blanchett to Robert Redford: many talents of international cinema are present in the films selected for the Rome Film Fest.

In the frame of the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, the program of the 13th edition of the Rome Film Fest, which will be held from 18 to 28 October 2018 in many exclusive locations in the capital (Auditorium, MAXXI, Ara Pacis Museum…), has been presented.
A fest that will have, according to the artistic director Antonio Monda, three key words: “woman, because we have twelve female directors and many more famous actresses; memory, because there will be many films dedicated to the holocaust; documentary, a genre that will have ample space within the festival.”

The 38 films and documentaries featured in the Official Selection will be the protagonists of the Rome Film Fest. These include Drew Goddard’s thriller ‘Bad Times at the El Royale’, starring Dakota Johnson and Chris Hemsworth, and ‘The Old Man & the Gun’, Robert Redford’s farewell film to his acting career. Another awaited screen is Charles Ferguson’s documentary ‘Watergate’ and Edoardo De Angelis’ ‘The Vice of Hope’, which arrives at the Rome Film Fest after last year’s presence at MIA.

The highlight of this edition of the Rome Film Fest will also be the section ‘Close encounters’, a space dedicated to meetings with numerous personalities from the world of cinema and culture. Among these, Martin Scorsese (who will receive the 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award), Cate Blanchett, Michael Moore, Giuseppe Tornatore and Alba and Alice Rohrwacher stand out.
