Roma Lazio Film Commission attended the 72th Cannes Film Festival in order to promote the territory and international co-production. The Italian Pavillion, dedicated to the promotion of Italian cinema, has in the past few days hosted meetings aimed at promoting the Lazio Region territory. The events were attended by the press and by representatives of the Italian cinematic scene.

On May 17th, the Lazio Cinema International fund was presented to the European Producers Club, which is a network of the main European producers. Roma Lazio Film Commission has here started a partnership with the European Producers Club, which will go on in October during the MIA (International Audiovisual Market) and during the Rome Film Festival.

On May 18th, the Italian Pavillon hosted an event on international co-productions dedicated to Lazio Cinema International. Luciano Sovena (President of Roma Lazio Film Commission) has confirmed that the Lazio Region and the Roma Lazio Film Commission will continue supporting cinema and audiovisual.

The meetings were attended by institutions’ representatives and international producers. Among the participants, there were Paolo del Brocco (RAI Cinema), Silvia Costa (EU Parliamentarian), Maria Giuseppina Troccoli (MiBAC Cinema General Manager), Tilde Corsi (ANICA National association of cinematographic, audiovisual and multimedia industries, Vice President) e Chiara Sbarigia (APA Association Audiovisual Producers, General Manager). Producers Marta Donzelli (Vivo Film), Giovanni Pompili (Kino Produzioni), Joseph Rouschop (Tarantula), Davide Nardini (Palomar), Vladimir Anastasov (Sektor Film) and Laura Briand (Les Films d’Ici) have all told about their successful experiences in international co-productions.

Moreover, on May 18th, at the Israeli Film Pavillon, a deal between Roma Lazio Film Commission and Israel Cinema Project Rabinovich Foundation was concluded. The deal foresees the development of two scripts and two cinematic projects each year, one by Tel Aviv producers and the other from Lazio producers, which have an international co-production potential.
