The Reed Hastings’ enterprise decides to invest in publishing industry and announces the new comic by writer Mark Millar, Prodigy.

After production of The Magic Order, Netflix continues to bet on comics and keep its collaboration with Millarworld. The streaming giant has announced a new comic by Scottish writer Mark Millar. It is entitled Prodigy and tells the story of a brilliant man, Edison Crane, who decides to put himself at the service of humanity. Designer of the series will be Rafael Albuquerque (Batman, American Vampire), with whom Millar has previously collaborated on the comic book Huck.

The collaboration between Netflix and the Scottish writer’s label began in 2017, when the Hastings’ company acquired Millarworld, proponent of successful comics such as Wanted and Kick-Ass, and it was later announced that Netflix’s comics would be published by Image Comics.

The American giant therefore decides to continue to expand its audience, extending it to comics’ fans, in order to face the launch of the new Disney streaming platform scheduled for 2019.

Prodigy’s number 1 will be released in American comics stores on December 5, 2018 and from the same date it will also be available in digital format.
